Events may still be submitted automatically to the new UT Events Calendar through a standards-compliant RSS or iCal feed. Please consult the UT Events Calendar Documentation for more information.

Current recipients of the Know Events email newsletter will continue to receive events listings once the transition has been made.

Menuhin Competition comes to the Long Center for the Performing Arts

The Menuhin Competition combines a violin competition with a festival of concerts and is held every two years. In 2014, The University of Texas Butler School of Music hosts the first-ever competition in North America.
The Menuhin Competition Austin kicks off its 10-day Festival with an opening concert featuring The University of Texas Symphony Orchestra. For this program, the UTSO, performs the Mendelssohn Double Concerto for Violin and Piano with violinist Ilya Gringolts and faculty pianist Anton Nel. Both soloists are serving as jurors for the competition.
