| Description: | The South Asia Institute is pleased to host members of the Planning Team of the Habib University Foundation, a not-for-profit Pakistani educational organization, at a session that will introduce the Habib University project. Snacks to be served. RSVP to sai@austin.utexas.edu.
Established by the House of Habib (HoH), the leading financial and industrial conglomerate in Pakistan, the project is geared toward developing Habib University - a world-class research-based undergraduate institution that aims to respond to the pressing challenges facing our local, regional and global communities. A first-of-its-kind initiative in Pakistan, the Habib University educational experience seeks to firmly root itself in the liberal arts and the innovative spirit of entrepreneurship, while providing high-quality programs of study in science and engineering and the social sciences, arts and humanities.
