Description:I Film del Circolo kicks off its spring series with "Cosmonauta," (Cosmonaut, 2009), a delightful coming-of-age tale by young director/writer Susanna Nicchiarelli. Set in Rome at the time of the Soviet-US space race, the film portrays Luciana and her adolescent struggles with subtlety and humor. In Italian with English subtitles.

The film also features souped-up covers of vintage Italian pop songs and Russian propaganda footage from the period.
