For the first spring 2012 edition of Fade In, the Visual Arts Center presents Hans Richter's 1921 avant-garde film "Rhythm 21." On view via continuous loop until midnight each evening through March 10.
Fade In is a program of specially curated films and videos projected nightly in the Visual Arts Center (VAC) and viewable through the bay windows facing the southeast lawn of the Art Building. Screened in response to Justin Boyd's exhibition "Dubforms," Richter's first film stands at the very beginning of the avant-garde film movement, presenting an innovative approach never before seen on film.
