Maya activist Domingo Hernández Ixcoy gives a talk titled "Migración y los efectos en la cultura del Pueblo Maya" as part of the 2012 Lozano Long Conference. The talk will be presented in Spanish.
Hernández Ixcoy is director of Asociación Maya Uk'ux'b'e, a research center on Maya culture in Guatemala and was one of the founders of the Committee for Peasant Unity (CUC) in Guatemala. He led the occupation of the Brazilian Embassy in Guatemala in 1982.
