Second-year undergraduate architecture students and four faculty members engaged Austin's evolving comprehensive plan (www.imagineaustin.net) to envision revitalization for a two-mile stretch of Airport Boulevard. The student work for this project is on display during Research Week.
School of Architecture students and faculty were acknowledged with a Certificate of Appreciation for their contributions to the ongoing Airport Boulevard Corridor redevelopment initiative. The intent of the plan is to "transform the low-density, auto-oriented commercial corridor into a pedestrian-friendly linear village with a better balance of uses, quality streetscapes, better connectivity to neighborhoods, and greater transportation options."
