Description:The UTSO features three Butler School graduate students in its final concert of the year. String Concerto Competition winner Jillian Bloom performs Shostakovich's fiery Cello Concerto No. 1; guest conductor Tim Laughlin presents the world premiere of "I and the Night Sky: Nocturne for Orchestra" by BSOM graduate student composer Zack Stanton; and Maestro Gerhardt Zimmermann leads the orchestra in a performance of Beethoven's rollicking Symphony No. 8.
