October 22, 2012

Description:Hip hop has been considered the most influential and socially conscious American youth music since the emergence of rock 'n' roll. In this talk, Tricia Rose, professor of Africana Studies at Brown University, addresses a number of questions at the heart of hip hop's retreat from politics.
