Description:Paul Levy discusses the Bloomsbury group. As recently as the 1960s, it was a rare week that went by without a media reference to this intellectual magic circle. Now, few educated people in Britain under 40 have heard of it and, apart from Virginia Woolf, hardly anyone can name any of its members. The Bloomsbury group seems uninteresting precisely because we have accepted their values as our own.
