Description:In celebration of Black History Month, the American Studies Film Series hosts a free screening of Jeff Stilson's 2009 docu-comedy "Good Hair." The film follows comedian Chris Rock on an international journey to better understand the African American hair industry, prompted by his young daughter's question, "Daddy, how come I don't have good hair?" American studies PhD student Jackie Smith gives a brief introduction to the film.
