The Radio-Television-Film (RTF) Department kicks off a four-part series of free community screenings with Charles Ramirez Berg (Joe M. Dealey Sr. professor in Media studies) presenting the classic Hollywood Western "High Noon" (1952), starring Gary Cooper, Grace Kelly and Katy Jurado. A Q&A and brief discussion of cinematic techniques follows the screening.
A former National Endowment for the Humanities Fellow, Ramirez Berg was recently appointed to the National Film Preservation Board of The Library of Congress. He is a member of the Academy of Distinguished Teachers and has won every major teaching award at The University of Texas.
