The Center for Sustainable Development presents a lunch talk by designer and social innovator Liz Ogbu, titled "Repositioning Design: New Ways for Creating Impact."
Ogbu is a designer, urban strategist, social innovator, academic and expert on sustainable design and spatial innovation in challenged urban environments globally. From designing shelters for immigrant day laborers in the U.S. to a water and health social enterprise for low-income Kenyans, Ogbu has built an extensive career in social impact design. Currently, she has her own multidisciplinary consulting practice and serves as the first-ever scholar-in-residence at the Center for Art & Public Life at California College of the Arts. She is also on the faculty at the d.school at Stanford University.
