| Description: | Sarah Scaturro, the conservator in charge of the conservation laboratory at The Costume Institute, Metropolitan Museum of Art, presents a talk titled "The Future of Textile Conservation and Museum Management."
Scaturro was formerly the textile conservator and assistant curator of fashion at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Smithsonian Institution. She teaches fashion archiving in FIT's Fashion and Textiles Studies MA program and material culture studies in Parsons' Fashion Studies MA program. A member of the Board of Directors for the Textile Arts Center and the Costume Society of America, Scaturro is also an independent fashion curator and lectures and publishes internationally. |
