| Description: | The Energy Institute hosts a second information session for faculty interested in responding to a new request for proposals (RFP) from the Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative (GoMRI). Funding is available for projects related to the April 2010 BP Deep Water Horizon explosion and oil spill.
Total funds available are $7.5 million per year for up to three years. Schedule for submissions is as follows: letter of intent due by Jan. 17, 2012; full proposal due Mar. 8; awards announced on June 30.
