Description:The Gateway Scholars Program's Distinguished Speaker Series welcomes Dr. Prabhudev Konana, presenting a talk on emerging economies and their implications for the United States.

Konana's research and teaching interests are in global sourcing and supply-chain management, as well as electronic commerce topics such as online investing, electronic brokerage design, e-business value assessment, information technology in emerging economies and virtual communities.

He is a member of the Academy of Distinguished Teachers, the highest teaching award at The University of Texas at Austin. He has received many teaching excellence awards and has been consistently selected for Faculty Honor Roll from the Undergraduate Business Council for excellent teaching ratings. He has been nominated by MBA students for outstanding MBA core faculty and faculty with outstanding ability to connect business with academics.
