Description:This week, the UT Energy Symposium presents the Student Research Showcase, focusing on smart grid technology. Presenters are Josh Rhodes, Robert Fares and Steve Bourne.

Rhodes, Ph.D. candidate and member of the Webber Energy Group, presents "Data-Driven Results from the Pecan Street Smart Grid Demonstration Project." Mechanical engineering graduate student Robert Fares gives a talk titled "Towards a Distributed Grid: A Quantitative Assessment of Community Energy Storage for Islanding." Civil, architectural and environmental engineering Ph.D. student Steve Bourne presents "Thermal Storage and the Building Side of Smartgrid."
