Birds of prey are the focus of this Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center Nature Night, sponsored in part by H-E-B.
Walk the gardens with Travis Audubon volunteers 6:15 and 6:30 p.m. Explore the habits of birds of prey and see live birds in the courtyard with the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center at 7 p.m. Compare your arm span to the wingspan of an eagle, practice your bird feather identification with Earth Native Wilderness School, see photos of our great horned owl family as the owlets grew and make your own owl mask.
An Aug. 4 Nature Night will focus on hummingbirds. The Wildflower Center is also free during the day these two Nature Night Thursdays.
