Description:Karen Weber Cullen, Ph.D., RD, LD, presents "School Nutrition and Food Policies: Past, Present and Future." Cullen is associate professor of pediatrics at the Baylor College of Medicine.

Cullen's research interest is in the prevention of obesity and diet-related chronic diseases. She currently serves as a member of the IOM Committee to Review the Child and Adult Food Care programs. She also served on the IOM Committee to Review the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program Meal Patterns and Nutrient Standards.
