| Description: | Join the Harry Ransom Center for this spring's final Poetry on the Plaza event, Singers and Songwriters, featuring Michael Hall, Terri Hendrix, Lloyd Maines and Monte Warden.
Michael Hall is an Austin singer, songwriter, and guitarist. His most recent album is "The Song He Was Listening to When He Died" (2006). He has won two Austin Music Awards, specifically for Song of the Year in 1989 and Producer of the Year in 1992.
Terri Hendrix is a San Marcos-based contemporary Americana folk singer-songwriter. She co-wrote the Dixie Chicks Grammy-winning instrumental, "Lil' Jack Slade." Her most recent album is "Cry Till You Laugh" (2010).
Lloyd Maines is a Grammy Award-winning country music record producer, musician and songwriter. He toured and recorded as a member of the Joe Ely Band.
Monte Warden is a singer-songwriter who first appeared on the country scene as part of the Wagoneers, the neo-rockabilly band he formed in 1986. |
