Description:In honor of the 26th anniversary of the Heman Sweatt Symposium on Civil Rights, the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement presents alumna Machree Garrett Gibson with the Heman Marion Sweatt Legacy Award. The award was established to honor alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends who embody the legacy of Heman Marion Sweatt, the first African American admitted to The University of Texas at Austin School of Law.
