Description:
Double-Lock a Bike Project announced
A four-year college student has a 53 percent chance of having his or her bike stolen. To help counteract the historically high theft rate on campus, this project aims to inform students of the most effective way to lock a bike at a rack on the UT campus. Screens across campus will show a video explaining double locking, and three installations of "Red & Blue Bikes" will be placed at racks in areas of statistically high bicycle theft.

Developed by individuals from the Department of Art Art History, this public education project is brought to you by the UT Safe Cycling Campaign, a UT-Austin Student Green Fee Project, and is supported by the UT Police Department and UT Parking and Transportation Services.
