Poetry on the Plaza celebrates Woody Guthrie centennial
The Harry Ransom Center kicks off a new Poetry on the Plaza season with "The American Folk Tradition." In celebration of Woody Guthrie's 100th birthday, readers Coleman Hutchison, Carrie Fountain and Abe Louise Young share lyrics and poetry in the American folk tradition. Refreshments served.

About the readers: Coleman Hutchison is professor in the English Department at The University of Texas at Austin; Carrie Fountain, poet, is a Michener Center for Writers alumna and professor at St. Edwards University; and Abe Louise Young is a poet, educator and alumna of the Michener Center.
