February 11, 2011
Time:5-6 p.m.
Description:Science in the Pub presents kissing specialist Sheril Kirshenbaum, discussing the findings in her new book, "The Science of Kissing." It is said that your first kiss is never forgotten and can, in fact, make or break an otherwise healthy relationship. What is it about locking lips and swapping spit that causes such an incredible rush of emotion? Kirshenbaum's study draws from fields as divergent as classical history, evolutionary biology and popular culture to explain one of humanity's fondest pastimes.

It turns out that there is a lot more to kissing than you might think. Learn some practical tips to arouse your senses and mind.

Science in the Pub was founded in spring 2010 by UT-Austin graduate students. We provide a uniquely enjoyable environment where scientists and nonscientists can come together to celebrate science from the Austin community and beyond.
