The Science for Change College of Natural Sciences speaker series presents a talk by Deborah Koolbeck titled "A Scientist in the Congressional Fast Lane." Koolbeck is a physicist who has worked for more than six years in the U.S. House of Representatives.
She discusses the ability of scientists to positively impact the workings of Capitol Hill and Congress. From late-night legislative language negotiations to early-morning meetings with Nobel laureates, she has used her background as a scientist and educator in her role in public service.
