| Description: | The exhibition "Muscle & Grace: Images of Physical Culture and Sports" highlights the rich photography collections held by the Stark Center, which houses over 650 photographs arranged thematically in ten distinct galleries. Open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Call 471-0995 to schedule group visits or write jan@starkcenter.org. Runs through December 2012.
The term "physical culture" describes the various activities people employed over the centuries to strengthen their bodies, enhance their physiques and health, increase their endurance, fight against aging and become better athletes. |
