This workshop highlights essential skills needed to provide culturally responsive mental health services to children and adolescents. Presenter Janine Jones, Ph.D., models the process of increasing cultural self-awareness and cultural literacy, and weaving cultural variables into all phases of the counseling process through the use of "multicultural intentionality" techniques.
This workshop also:
- Includes vignettes to show subtle nuances that may not be obvious to the clinician
- Offers practical ways to address culturally related content
- Showcases multicultural research in a reception following the presentation
