Know

There are several ways you can subscribe to automatically receive information from the Know Web site.

One is to have information sent directly to your computer through a RSS feed. RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication” and can help you stay up to date on the latest from Know.

RSS feeds allow you to identify the content you would like to receive from your favorite Web sites and blogs, and then have that content delivered directly to you through a browser, Web-based news reader or desktop news reader. Know also has video podcasts available. A podcast is an episodic program delivered via the Internet to your computer. Podcast episodes can be audio files, video files or documents. You can manually download episodes or subscribe to the podcast using a client application, such as iTunes, which regularly downloads new episodes. The programs can then be viewed on your computer or a portable media player such as an iPod. You can find instructions for this on our Podcasts page.

Faculty and staff can subscribe to OnCampus Events, a daily e-mail outlining events taking place the following day. If you would like to subscribe or unsubscribe to the daily e-mail, you can do so using UT Direct’s Message Center Settings. At this time, the e-mail is only available to faculty and staff of the university.
