Authors are faculty members and staffers at UT Austin who work with University Communications staffers to craft columns that adhere to journalistic best practices and Associated Press style guidelines.       Great piece. The media in this country are simply going for clicks/views, and rarely fact check or even attempt to understand their topic, it's disgusting really. I hope this'll improve, but it appears the opposite is happening
