Charles Silver holds the Roy W. and Eugenia C. McDonald Endowed Chair in Civil Procedure. He joined the faculty at the University of Texas School of Law in 1987 and received tenure in 1991. He has been a Visiting Professor at the law schools at the University of Michigan and Vanderbilt University. Professor Silver's scholarship focuses on civil litigation, complex litigation and class actions, professional responsibility, health care policy, and insurance.
