The Austin Manifesto on Women in Law

The Women’s Power Summit on Law and Leadership united female leaders from across the profession for the first time to collaborate and promote the advancement of women. At the Summit, the participants established the Austin Manifesto to eliminate the barriers that women within the legal field face.

The Austin Manifesto not only calls for action by individuals, institutions and organizations, but also holds the legal profession and its members accountable through specific and concrete pledges.

As a unified group, the Summit participants* adopted by acclamation the Austin Manifesto, signaling the beginning of a coordinated national movement towards the advancement of women.
