Conferences and Lectures:
- Civil Rights Litigation Conference, co-sponsored by the Texas Civil Rights Project, Apr.‘05
- Meeting, ABA Task Force on Prison Condition Standards, co-sponsored by the ABA, May ‘05
- Lecture on the value of public service, William O. Whitehurst, Jr. (former president of the State Bar of Texas)
Community Service/Pro Bono Education:
- Fall Public Service Initiative for First Year Students (orientation speaker, special classes on access to justice issues, and service projects), Fall ‘04
- Community Tax Center Project, partnered with the Community Tax Center to provide student volunteers to help low income working families file tax returns, Spring ‘05

Public Service Recognition:
- Reception to celebrate birthday of Judge William Wayne Justice and thank supporters of the Justice Center, March ‘04
- UT Coop Public Interest Awards to honor students demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to public service, pro bono and public interest law
- G. Rollie White Public Service Scholar in Residence Program established to bring outstanding legal scholars and advocates from the field of public service to the Law School
