• “Guantanamo, the Supreme Court, and the Rule of Law,” a lecture by Professor Neal Katyal of Georgetown Law Center, co-sponsored with the Marvin K. Collie Lectureship Series, Nov. 2, ‘06
• “Capital Representation in Transition,” co-sponsored with the Capital Punishment Center at UT Law and the American Journal of Criminal Law, Feb. 8, ‘07
• “Pressing Legal Issues Affecting Low-Income Persons, and Strategies to Address Them,” co-hosted with Texas Appleseed, Feb.16, '07
• "With Justice for All," a lecture by the Morris Dees, founder of the Southern Poverty Law Center, Mar. 1, '07

Community Service/Pro Bono Education:

• Public Service Initiative for First Year Students (orientation speaker, special classes on access to justice issues, and service projects), Fall ‘06
• Introduction to Public Service Law (co-sponsored with Career Services Office), Fall ‘06
• Food Drive, in conjunction with the Office of Student Life and the Society Program, benefiting Caritas of Austin, Fall ‘06
• Pro Bono Fellows Program (Lawyers for Women Fighting Breast Cancer), partnered with Volunteer Legal Services and the Travis County Women Lawyers Association
• They Had a Dream Too, civil rights educational event for high school students at the State Capitol, co-sponsored by the Texas Young Lawyers Association and Cantey & Hanger, Jan. 11, '07
• Community Tax Center Project, partnered with the Community Tax Center to provide student volunteers to help low income working families file tax returns, Spring ‘07
