The Access to Justice Internship Program is a unique state-wide program placing students in internships with civil legal service providers located outside communities with law schools. In the summer of 2008, 27 students (3 from each Texas law school) will intern in offices of Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, Lone Star Legal Aid, the Texas Civil Rights Project, and Texas RioGrande Legal Aid.
UT Law students will receive 4 hours of academic credit and a stipend from the Texas Access to Justice Commission of $250/week for a minimum of 7 weeks and a maximum of 10 weeks.
