The Student Advisory Board for the Justice Center is composed of the recipients of the Public Service and Equal Justice Scholarships. These scholars work closely with the Justice Center, advising the Center about student awards, pro bono projects, and public interest programming. The scholars also assist with conferences sponsored by the Center, conduct outreach with student organizations, and work on other projects.

The Public Service Scholars Program provides five scholarships to second and third year students with a demonstrated commitment to studying and working in public service and promoting it at the Law School. The Equal Justice Scholarship, which covers full tuition and fees for all three years, is awarded to an entering student with strong academic credentials, demonstrated commitment to public service, and a specific intent to serve low-income Texans following graduation.
