George M. Fleming, '71, founder and managing partner of Fleming & Associates, L.L.P., in Houston and son of a pioneer and leader in healthcare management, generously supports this fellowship through the Law School's George McMillan Fleming Center for Law and Innovation in Biomedicine and Healthcare.
The fellowship funds an outstanding graduating student or judicial clerk to work in health law and advocacy, including access to healthcare and benefits. Projects may include work focused on the intersection of health law and policy.
The award is made for two years, for full-time legal work sponsored by an existing organization and supervised by a licensed attorney. The sponsoring organization must be a non-profit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or an organization located outside the U.S. that is equivalent to a 501(c)(3) organization.
