“That they may truly and impartially administer justice”

Pro Bono Fellows

“Every lawyer, regardless of professional prominence or professional workload, should find time to participate in or otherwise support the provision of legal services to the disadvantaged. The provision of free legal services to those unable to pay reasonable fees is a moral obligation of each lawyer as well as the profession generally.”

- Preamble: A Lawyer's Responsibilities - Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct

The Justice Center is committed to teaching students to participate in pro bono activities and public service throughout their careers. The Pro Bono Fellows program furthers this goal. Fellows have the opportunity to provide much-needed legal services, work closely with mentor attorneys, gain hands-on experience, and network with private attorneys in the Austin area. We anticipate selecting ten to fifteen fellows in the spring of 2007.
