A number of student organizations at the Law School promote public interest law. For example, the Public Interest Law Association provides information to students on opportunities in public interest law, provides a venue for students to meet other students interested in public interest issues, and works to create and strengthen public interest programs at the law school. Texas Law Fellowships raises funds from students, alumni and law firms to provide stipends for selected students to work for public interest organizations during the summer. Many other Law School student groups also promote public interest law as part of their organizational missions.
