Access to Justice Internship

Overview

Students from Texas law schools work with non-profit providers of civil legal services to low-income individuals in underserved areas of Texas.  Each student works full-time for seven to ten weeks in the summer under the supervision of an experienced attorney.  Students also meet as a group for classes focused on poverty law and lawyering skills.  The Law School offers this internship with the Texas Access to Justice Commission and other Texas law schools as part of a broad movement to increase access to justice.

For more information see the Access to Justice Internship Program website.
