This conference celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Domestic Violence Clinic at UT School of Law. Students and faculty in the Clinic represent people in abusive relationships who are unable to afford private attorneys. The Clinic educates students about the broad range of legal and non-legal problems facing victims of domestic violence, and takes a holistic approach to representing clients.
This conference examines current issues in providing legal representation to domestic violence survivors. Panelists will discuss particular challenges and cutting edge issues in representing clients and the benefits to addressing client needs holistically. The conference will highlight the alumni of the Clinic and their continuing efforts to battle domestic violence.
This conference is approved for 8.5 hours of CLE credit.
