Prosecution Internship

Overview

Students explore the substantive law and legal issues commonly encountered in criminal prosecutions and learn about the unique duties and responsibilities of a criminal prosecutor as both an advocate and a minister of justice. Each student is assigned to a Travis County trial court and is supervised by an experienced Assistant District Attorney assigned to the court.  Students experience all aspects of the day-to-day functions of the prosecutor, and some students may have the opportunity to participate actively in courtroom proceedings.
