The Law School offers five different concentrations of study within the LL.M. program. The general program in "U.S. Law for Foreign Lawyers" provides a basic understanding of the U.S. legal system to students with a foreign law degree, who may focus on a particular area of law or take courses on varied topics. The other concentrations require completion of specific courses and provide the opportunity for a student to focus his or her study and obtain a certificate of specialization. The concentrations are:
The Law School will also consider, on an individual basis, a proposal to earn an ad hoc certificate of specialization in another area (such as health or human rights).
