The University of Texas School of Law has joined with the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) to offer a unique joint degree program for students to earn both a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Texas School of Law and a Licenciatura en Derecho from ITAM.
Students participating in the program will be well qualified to practice law at an international level, having gone through a complete course of study in both the U.S. and Mexican legal systems. Graduates of the program are academically eligible to sit for the bar examination in any U.S. jurisdiction and to file a license application before the Mexican Ministry of Education to be admitted to practice law in Mexico.
Applicants to the joint degree program must take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) no later than February’s test administration and submit their applications postmarked by March 1. Additional requirements:
