UT Law & Advocacy Program Hosting
2010 National Trial Competition

The University of Texas School of Law is hosting the regional rounds of the National Trial Competition from February 4th through 6th, 2010. The National Trial Competition is sponsored by the Texas Young Lawyers' Association and the American College of Trial Lawyers, and is one of the oldest and most prestigious mock trial competitions in the nation. Every ABA-accredited law school in the country is invited to participate in the regional competitions. The two top teams from each region advance to the national rounds which will be held in Dallas, Texas, this year.

Although The University of Texas School of Law has been participating in the National Trial Competition for many years, UT Law only hosts this particular competition about every ten years. The Regional Competition location rotates annually to a different law school within the region. This year, many Austin judges and attorneys will serve as judges and evaluators for the competition, and volunteers from the UT community and elsewhere have signed up to serve as witnesses for these regional rounds.

All of the National Trial Competition rounds for Region 10 will take place at the Law School. The Final Rounds will be held on Saturday, February 6th, beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Kraft W. Eidman Courtroom and the John T. Jeffers Courtroom.
