The Law Alumni Association presents three awards annually, recognizing the outstanding achievements of UT Law graduates. The awards are: Lifetime Achievement which recognizes an alumnus who has had a distinguished legal career; Outstanding Alumnus which honors a graduate who has made outstanding contributions not only to the legal profession, but to society as a whole; and Distinguished Alumnus for Community Service which honors a graduate who brings conspicuous credit to the legal profession by exemplary service. Award presentations are made each spring at a gala dinner in Austin.
All UT Law alumni are encouraged to nominate alumni for each of these awards. The Law Alumni Association Executive Committee selects the award recipients at its fall meeting. A nomination form is available online. You may e-mail your nomination to traeke@law.utexas.edu.
