Ms. Gibson represents a broad range of clients at The Graydon Group, LLC, including business corporations, trade associations, governmental entities, and other organizations in legislative and administrative matters before the Texas Legislature and various state agencies. She previously was a shareholder with Jenkens & Gilchrist, P.C. Ms. Gibson has extensive prior legislative and civic experience. She was a Legislative Assistant for Representative Sam Hudson (1979-1984) and a Legislative Assistant for Senator Gonzalo Barrientos (1984-1991). She served as the Intergovernmental Relations Officer for the City of Austin (1991-1992) and was the Special Projects Director for the Office of the Governor (1992-1994). She served as Assistant Secretary of State in the Richards Administration from 1994-1995. Ms. Gibson received her B. A. from The University of Texas at Austin in 1982, and her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 1991.
Ms. Gibson’s professional affiliations include the Governor’s Leadership Development Program; Governor’s Executive Development Program; Leadership Texas Alumni Association; Leadership America Alumni Association; State Bar of Texas; American Bar Association; and the National Bar Association. She is mediation certified. Her civic involvement includes the University of Texas Development Board; University of Texas Commission of 125; Arts Center Stage Trustee (1999-2003); Texas Fine Arts Association Board of Directors; and The Links, Inc. She is a lifetime member of the University of Texas Ex Alumni Association.
Ms. Gibson was honored with the 2002 Outstanding Young Texas Ex Award, and in 1999, she received the Texas Legislative Black Caucus Spirit Eagle Award.
