Giant multi-national companies are being sued in U.S. Courts for human rights abuses committed against foreign nationals in foreign territories!

Come learn about this fascinating and controversial topic, currently under review by the U.S. Supreme Court in Kiobel v. Royal Dutch Shell. There, Nigerian citizens have sued petroleum giant Shell for damages in connection with the killing and violence in the Ogoni Delta.

This event will have all sides represented and seek to provide an educational forum for students from all perspectives. The Law School's Professor Derek Jinks, an expert in international law, will be among the panelists.

Excellent food will be served.
