The Abuse Survivors Assistance Program will be selling tickets for the annual Pumpkins & Poker tournament in the Tom Clark Lounge or the Atrium every day starting Wednesday, Oct. 2nd until Thursday, Oct. 10th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.

A $15 ticket ($20 at the door) gets you into the raffle for a bunch of awesome prizes, a free t-shirt, a free drink ticket, and a bag of chips to play your poker heart out. Non-players get a raffle ticket and a t-shirt or drink ticket for only $10 ($12 at the door).

(Program is at 1:10-2:10 p.m.) Learn about careers in indigent defense from UT Law alumni serving as public defenders. Panelists will discuss their careers and offer advice on how to land a job as a public defender. Moderated by Nicole Simmons, Director of Public Service Programs, Career Services Office. Please join us for a talk featuring Pablo de Larrañaga Monjaraz, Professor of Constitutional Law and Regulation at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), entitled “A Regulationist Perspective to Human Rights: Blueprint of an Inquiry.” Zachary Elkins, Associate Professor of Government at UT, will serve as discussant. The talk is co-sponsored by LLILAS BENSON and the Kay Bailey Hutchison Center for Latin American Law. Light refreshments will be served.
