HOW DO I APPLY?
1. Log in to The Law Consortium Symplicity.
2. Click on the [OCI] tab on the top navigation bar.
3. Select the [Employers/Bidding] tab.
4. Choose "2014 Chicago Off-Campus Recruitment Program" from the [Session ID] drop-down menu. The resulting list of employers contains only those that have requested your class year. These are the employers you are eligible to submit (apply) your resume to.
5. The prescreen materials each employer has requested will be noted in the [Documents] column.
6. Click the [Apply] or [Review] button from the list of employers. You will then be redirected to a review page.
7. To apply, click the [Apply] button in the "Bid Details" box to the right of the screen. Pay close attention to this box. If a document type is listed here, it is a REQUIRED document for this specific employer. For example: If "cover letter" is in this box, and "none found" is to the right, you must return to the [Documents] section and upload a cover letter.

Note: Your "default resume" will be included with each application. To submit a different resume (or any requested documents) from those uploaded in your "Documents" section, select the appropriate document from the drop-down in the "Bid Details" box.

Please make sure that you finalize your selections before the application submission deadline.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE BEEN SELECTED FOR AN INTERVIEW?
When the scheduling period opens on The Law Consortium Symplicity Web site, students will be able to view their interview status for each employer to whom they applied. If chosen for an interview, you will have the option of accepting or declining the interview. Because of the nature of the walk-around format, the program coordinators will schedule all students who have accepted interviews. All interviews will be scheduled between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Employers rank their alternate selections. Alternates will be contacted by email as openings become available according to each employer's order of preference.

HOW DO I ACCEPT OR DECLINE AN INTERVIEW?
1. Log in to The Law Consortium Symplicity.
2. Select [OCI] from the toolbar at the top of the screen.
3. Select the [Employers/Bidding] tab.
4. Choose "2014 Chicago Off-Campus Recruitment Program" from the [Session ID] drop-down menu.
5. Refer to the [Invitations] column to find out how each employer has responded to your application.
6. If you have been chosen for an interview, you will see two buttons: [Accept] and [Decline]. If you accept, you will be given an interview time once all other invited students have accepted or declined their interviews. Every effort will be made to inform students of their interview time as soon as possible and no later than a week prior to the program date.

Alternates will be contacted according to each employer's order of preference in order to fill in any openings that may remain. This could be during or after the Accept/Decline period.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
Employers have set aside valuable time to meet with you; therefore, you are encouraged to plan appropriately beforeaccepting interviews. Only accept interviews if you are prepared to travel to Chicago on the day of the event. If you find yourself in a situation where you need to cancel an interview, contact the law school career services representative responsible for coordinating the program as soon as possible.

Students are responsible for following their school's interviewing policies.
