Sarah Lynch, Director for Communications and Outreach in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), will speak about the exciting work she is doing to facilitate green initiatives. She will also talk about how you can use your degree for a variety of careers in the federal government including communications, outreach, research operations, and policy.
Ms. Lynch currently leads a team that conducts a broad range of strategic communications and outreach activities. These activities provide key information to consumers and stakeholders about EERE’s research, development, and deployment of renewable and efficient technologies in homes, buildings, vehicles, and communities. Ms. Lynch oversees EERE’s web enterprise, traditional and social media presence, executive and internal communications activities, public awareness activities, inquiries and correspondence, and other related efforts. She is also the Chief Operating Officer for Strategic Programs. She is a Senior Fellow of the Partnership for Public Service’s Excellence in Government Center for Government Leadership Program.
