Each year’s conference and job fair includes between 25 and 30 employers and upwards of 100 law students. Participating employers may include small, medium, and large firms; corporate law departments; and public interest, nonprofit, and government entities.

To register, visit the Minnesota Minority Recruitment Conference website.

The sixth annual St. Louis Diversity Job Fair will be held on August 2-3, 2013. All interviews will take place at the law offices of Bryan Cave and, if needed, Denton’s, One Metropolitan Plaza, St. Louis, Missouri.

The primary goal of the Fair is to attract a diverse group of rising 2L and 3L students to the metropolitan St. Louis legal community, encourage them to practice law in the area, and become an integral part of our community. The Job Fair steering committee has invited law firms, corporations, and government agencies from all over the nation.

UT Law students can register for the Job Fair via the St. Louis Diversity Job Fair Symplicity Module; be sure to list James Cardenas as the CSO contact. The deadline to register is Friday, May 31, 2013.

On Friday, August 2, there will be law student/attorney networking dinners for all law students who are interested in attending who are registered for the Job Fair. The networking dinners will give lawyers and students an opportunity to do some informal networking.

Once a student registers for the Job Fair, they will be given information regarding participating employers’ hiring criteria, offices/cities for which each employer is interviewing, and J.D. year(s) required by the employer.

Each employer schedule allows for 16 interviews, and each interview is 20 minutes in length. Interviews begin at 8:00 a.m. with one 10 minute break in the morning, a Job Fair luncheon for students and employers (attendance is free for students) and then one more mid-afternoon break before the last set of interviews for the day. Interviews will conclude 4:30 p.m.

If you have any questions about this fair, please contact James Cardenas, Programs Coordinator, at jcardenas@law.utexas.edu or 512-232-7110.
